Quotations
Upon receipt of request, SPI shall provide price and delivery quotations for proprietary parts,
which are not listed in this catalog. Such quotations are firm and remain in effect for a period of
ninety (90) days. It is the policy of SPI to respond to requests for quotations within seven (7)
business days. In the case that an expedite handling is required to meet specific requirements,
such quotations shall be provided within twenty-four (24) hours.

Purchase Order Acceptance and Acknowledgment
Purchase orders shall be placed with SPI in writing to specify at least the following order
information.

  • Order Number
  • Part Number and nomenclature
  • Unit Prices
  • Shipping Address
  • Billing Address
  • All necessary information and instructions to proceed with orders.

Upon request of hard copies of purchase orders, an acknowledgment shall be returned to
customers. Customers are required to review the acknowledgment and immediately notify SPI
of any discrepancies and/or change order requests.  

Order Acknowledgments will also advise price correction and part number supercessions.

Shipment Error
Written notification of any short shipments or receipt of incorrect material against your order
must be presented within ninety (90) days after the date of the shipment. All order placement
information as well as the shipping invoice, packing list and/or FAA tag may be required for
proper communication and reconciliation of the shipment.

Reorder Lead Times (ROLT)
Reorder lead times (ROLT) and Shimadzu's commitment for delivery schedules stated in
quotations and/or acknowledgments represent lead times from the time of the Purchase Order
receipt through the time when parts are ready for shipment.

Additional time period for customs clearance, transportation, special routing and/or instructions
specified by customers, etc., are not included in the ROLT.

Expedite Priority
In accordance with the following terminology, information regarding shipping schedules shall be
provided to customers in a timely manner.

In order to ensure appropriate handling, correct terminology as described below should be
used to identify the priority level of Purchase Orders.
  •      AOG                - Aircraft grounded due to shortage of required part.
                  Seller will advise action taken within four (4) hours *

  •      CRITICAL         -Imminent AOG or shop work stoppage.
                  Seller will advise action taken within twenty-four (24) hours

  •      EXPEDITE        -Parts needed in less then Reorder Lead Time (ROLT)
                  Seller will advise action taken within seven (7) days

*        When specifying AOG priority orders, please include the Aircraft Tail Number.
